Description

This fantastic collection is ideal for the food-loving cook with little time to spare. More than 500 superb recipes show that if you don't have time to shop or devote hours to preparation it does not mean missing out on delicious, home-prepared meals. From classic brunches to tempting soups and appetizers, plus all kinds of main course dishes and desserts, every recipe tastes sensational but requires only a few ingredients. You will be amazed at the range of tasty meals that can be created from four ingredients or even less. Try a classic pasta course such as Spaghetti with raw tomato and ricotta sauce, Lamb chops with mint jelly crust, or Roast chicken with herb, cheese and lime stuffing. Among the fuss-free ways to prepare fish and shellfish are Roasted cod wrapped in prosciutto or a succulent Prawn and potato stew. Vegetarians are well catered for with options ranging from Spicy chickpea samosas to Roasted acorn squash with spinach and gorgonzola. Quick-fix breads and bakes combine storecupboard basics with sweet and savoury twists, with must-have recipes such as All-butter cookies or Orange and pecan scones. In the summer months, there's no need to spend hours slaving in a hot kitchen or over the grill - among the many al fresco favourites and barbecue dishes are Roasted shallot tart with thyme, or Glazed duck breasts. Finally, there is a superb range of sumptuous desserts - from Raspberry brulee to White chocolate brownie torte - plus an incredible array of easy pickles, preserves, sauces, breads, smoothies and stylish drinks. With over 500 colour images to inspire, this is the must-have resource to preparing healthy, home-cooked and delicious food with the minimum amount of effort.
