In the spirit of the book, The Daily Relaxer, the five twenty-minute programs on, The Daily Relaxer Audio Companion will help listeners engage in short, simple practices that promote deep, lasting, and restorative relaxation. Each of the programs is associated with a section in, The Daily Relaxer, , although both the book and this two-CD set can be used independently of one another. The first program, "Calm Your Mind," includes four five-minute exercises: moving band meditation, changing colors, special place, and pencil drop. In the second program, "Improve Your Mood," listeners recall healing sources of nourishment and pleasure and connect with times in the past when they felt calm and confident. "Refresh Your Spirit" helps listeners imagine themselves in a peaceful natural setting and encourages them to listen to a nourishing inner voice. The last two audio programs, "Relax Your Body" and "Relieve Your Worry," include several five-minute exercises that draw on proven-effective techniques such as autogenic breathing, visualization, and thought-stopping to help listeners relieve stress and deeply relax.
