She lives in Auckland with her family, a cat and a dog, runs a business with her husband, and won the New Zealand Post Children’s Choice Award for her picture book, The Were-Nana. Illustrator Details Gabriella Klepatski has been scribbling, sketching and drawing for as far back as she can remember. In her twenty-five years in New Zealand she has been illustrating books and filling her life with other interests, but her passion for capturing things on paper always bring her back to her sketchbook. People fascinate her the most. With water, sun and wind interesting things start happening – which call for her pencil and paper.
